Scott Kaatz, D.O., MSc

Dr. Kaatz grew up in Michigan and received his undergraduate and medical degrees for Michigan State University in East Lansing. He completed an osteopathic internship at Riverside Osteopathic Hospital in Trenton, MI and his residency at Henry Ford Hospital. He then was in private practice in Northern Michigan for two years and returned to Henry Ford Hospital in 1989. He completed a masters degree in Evidence-Based Health Care from Oxford University in 2007 and has taught evidence based medicine course for interns for the past 10 years.
Dr. Kaatz is the founder and co-medical director of the anticoagulation clinics and has a long standing research interest in venous thromboembolic disease. He has over two dozen publications, has been principal investigator for many clinical trials, is an active lecturer and is a reviewer for several internal medicine journals.
