John Popovich, Jr., M.D.

Dr. Popovich joined the faculty of Henry Ford Hospital as Director of Medical Intensive Care Unit following his post graduate training. He was Division head of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care for ten years until 1999, when he began his current position as Chief of the Department of Internal Medicine. He has been a multiple year recipient of the Henry Ford Hospital Department of Internal Medicine Award for Academic Excellence in Training.

Dr. Popovich has received Mastership in the American College of Physicians, as well as the Laureate Award from the Michigan Chapter of the American College of Physicians. He is a highly respected lecturer and has authored over 100 publications, abstracts, and book chapters and served as an editorial reviewer for several subspecialty journals.
