Eric Scher, M.D.

Director of Medical Education & Vice-Chair Department of Internal Medicine

Dr. Scher grew up in Michigan and received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  He completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital and was chief resident in 1987-88.  Dr. Scher has remained at Henry Ford Hospital and has served in a variety of roles including Program Director and Vice Chair in the Department of Medicine.  He is now the Director of Medical Education for the Henry Ford Health System and Vice-Chair to the department of internal medicine.  Dr. Scher continues to serve on many of the Henry Ford Hospital committees and administrative services.

Community service activities include speaking at the M.E.L.L. Program for the Detroit Public Schools and volunteer physician at the St. Frances Cabrini Clinic.
