Peter Watson, M.D.

Associate Program Director

Dr. Watson grew up in the City of Detroit and earned is undergraduate degree in Biology from Kalamazoo College. He received his medical school training at Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed a residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital. Since 2003, he has been a member of the Henry Ford Hospital Senior Staff primarily serving as an academic hospitalist. Currently, he is Associate Division Head for Inpatient Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. He is active in quality and safety projects also serving as Quality Associate in the Henry Ford Department of Clinical Quality and Safety. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the American Medical Association and has been recognized as an outstanding clinician educator.
