The Science and Art of Healing

A leader in teaching and learning

At Henry Ford Health System, superior medical education is considered critical to providing the best care possible to patients.

Henry Ford Hospital sponsors more than 600 residents and fellows each year, who come from all over the world to train in more than 40 accredited programs, making it one of the largest teaching hospitals in the country.

All programs are conducted under the direction of the 19 clinical departments within the Henry Ford Medical Group.

Residents and fellows provide valuable clinical services and the reputation of Henry Ford's training programs allows the Medical Group to attract high-quality faculty with academic and clinical interests.

Residents are also critical to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, adding to the overall success of the organization. In addition, the Henry Ford Medical Group trains more than 500 medical students from 20 schools across the nation each year.

Beyond residencies, fellowships and medical student education, the Henry Ford Medical Group also provides continuing medical education to its faculty by sponsoring more than 100 ongoing educational seminars, workshops, and lectures throughout the academic year.
