Additional Benefits

Participant travel funding (resident as panelist, author, moderator or speaker listed in an official program of a society or national meeting) - up to $1500 per resident per academic year.
- Educational funds (books, attendance at educational conference or board review courses) - up to $1250 for residents year three and above.
- Book funds are available for books, PDAs, and other related education items ($300 total for years 1&2 or $150 per year). See Department of Medical Education "House Staff Manual" for eligible items.
- Vacation: Three weeks per year for residents in years one and two; Four weeks for residents in year three.
- Michigan License fee paid (full for temporary licenses and partial for permanent licenses)
- Discounted automobile purchase eligibility through the Ford Motor Company "X" Plan (after 60 days of employment). This "X" plan can save you money on the purchase or lease of a Ford Plan automobile (includes, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, and Land Rover ).
- Dearborn Federal Credit Union services located on Main Hospital Campus, with ATM machines located in the hospital building. Comerica Bank is located just across the street Direct deposit of paycheck - through all banks
- Free parking in Staff Garage.
